Poverty and Joy

In a foreign country far away in a 10x10 room lit by a single candle lives a family. A family struggling to survive on less than $1 per day. A family whose father was killed in a field 3 months after he was baptized. A family whose mother exerts herself in exhausting physical labor day after day just to feed her children. A family under constant threat to be forced out of their village. A family whose son made the bold decision to follow after his dad and take baptism on Sunday. A family filled with joy and hope because they trust in the Lord. I was priveledged to meet this family and pray for this sister, her daughter and son in their home. It was yet another humbling experience this country has offered me. One which I will not soon forget.

Wow. What a testimony. Makes us realize what all we take for granted. What a profound experience to take with you the rest of your life. Love you friend.

Yes! We take SO much for granted. We can learn so much from people here who praise God for every tiny thing He supplies them with. (Love you too!)
